Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

This policy explains what information Golden Compass Home (“we”) collects through goldencompassnet.com and how we use it.

Information you give us

When you submit a quote request, kitchen brief, design request or project request, we receive the details you enter (name, email, phone, city, project details, cart contents and any photo you upload). We use it only to respond to you, prepare quotes and provide the services you ask about.

Your quote cart

Your cart is saved only in your own browser (local storage) so it is still there when you return. We do not receive it unless you send a quote request.

AI kitchen designs

If you use the AI kitchen design tool, the photo you upload is resized in your browser, sent to our servers and then to OpenAI to create design previews and estimate your cabinet needs. We do not keep your photo: it is deleted when processing ends, and the generated previews and job records are deleted automatically within about two hours. OpenAI processes the data under its own terms and privacy policy. Please do not upload photos with people in them. The cabinet list and estimate are created in your browser and are only sent to us if you choose to send a quote request.

Free designs and your email

To give each customer 3 free AI designs, we ask for your email address and keep a small counter linked to a scrambled (hashed) version of your email, a random device ID stored in your browser, and your network address. We also receive your name, email and design choices so we can follow up with you.

Service providers

Form submissions are received and stored by our website host (Netlify), and AI processing is provided by OpenAI (see above). We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this page.

Retention and your choices

We keep request details as long as needed to serve you and meet legal obligations. To ask us to access or delete your information, contact us using the details on our website.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
